The house in the foreground of this picture is the Nathan Tupper home, which burned in 1917. The bridge across the Mersey River at “The Falls” had recently been erected. Both Milton bridges were built in the year 1900.

The lagoon or bay of water in the foreground of this picture has been filled in and is now Tupper’s Park.
